Top of the World, Ma!
John Stow reports that he participated for the 10th time in the Mount Washington fundraising hill climb. Despite the rain, he posted a time of 1 hr. 42 sec.

Back from the Con
Pres.-Elect Joe Collie advises that he attended leadership training at the District Convention in Burlington, Vermont, last weekend. Incoming presidents were encouraged to set up their administrations sooner than later. To the end, he will be working on committee assignments and announced the installations will take place on Monday, October 3, at Pheasant Ridge Country Club.

One Born Every Minute
Sr. Member Roger Webster advises he received an email from the Netherlands offering $500,000. When he receives it, he promises to tithe 10% to the club.

Sgt.@Arms Roger Landry found Warren Mitchell and Dianne Roberts pinless and Warren Mitchell for wearing a Lions Club t-shirt to the meeting.

Happy Dollars
Dianne Roberts had a buck for winning the 50/50; Roger Webster for his son going to a soccer game in Munich, Germany, on the cuff; Nancy Williams had $3 for winning the 50/50, , successfully opening the Laconia branch of Meredith Village Savings Bank, and marrying Bob; and Paul Cotton had $5 for winning the $298 50/50 raffle at the Boston Pops concert at Meadowbrook.

Past Pres. Joe Adrignola introduced Kristen Awrich and Katey Gautsch, Child Developmental Program Coordinator, from Community Health & Hospice; and Family Support Manager Matthew Boucher, Lakes Region Community Services Council, to the club. C.H.&H.'s fields referrals on child developmental issues, performs home visits, and provides follow-up care. For more information go to
chhnh.org. Matthew Boucher pointed out that they still run the Giggles and Grins program we've supported in the past which provides parenting classes, play groups, and support groups all free of charge. For more information go to lrcsc.org.
