This writer introduced Exec. Dir. Brian J. Loanes, Belknap County Restorative Justice, to the club. The program recognizes that the real violation in crime is a violation of the people. The BCRJ allows individuals and community members to come to terms on a personal level with the harm that has been done and allows the victim and the community to speak freely about the harm that has been done. It also strengthens the offender's relationship with the community and allows the offender to see the damage caused, and openly apologize for their actions. The program works with offenders aged 10-17 in Belknap County. For more information go to belknapcounty.org.Exec. Dir. Brian Loanes and Past Pres. Michael Bastraw
