Our New Home
House Chair Roger Landry advises that we will be meeting in the Community Room at the new Laconia Police Station, 126 New Salem St., Laconia, January and February 2004. Parking will be in the general lot to the left of the building. The Community Room is off the main lobby on the first floor and seats around 40. While their guests we will enjoy police-oriented programs including a tour of the building and K9 unit demonstration.

Chair Paul Cotton reports that himself, Bob Turner, Charlie St. Clair, Jane Thibault, Don Nelson, Phil Bonafide, Kathy Calvin, Chet Cilley, and Michael Bastraw were on hand at the Crafts Fair, Winnipesaukee Expo, Saturday last.

District Convention
V.P. Paul Cotton advises that he and Pres. Warren Mitchell attended the leadership training at the New England District Convention, North Conway, last weekend. They also hobnobbed with members from other clubs who related what their groups are up to.

Past Pres. Joe Adrignola received a thank-you poster from Elm Street School for our last Reading Is FUNdamental visit.

Change of Plans
Pres. Warren Mitchell reports that on Monday, December 22, instead of Yankee Swap, we will meet at the home of Russ and Carol Ann Beane, 114 Clover Lane. Spouses are invited.

Happy Dollars
Nancy Williams chipped in $2 for winning two turkeys in the Meredith Fire Dept. raffle, winning the United Way raffle at work; being in the running in the football pool; and her son becoming engaged over the weekend.

Guest Speaker
Sr. Member Carroll Stafford introduced Exec. Dir. Jim Nute, Mayhew Program, to the club. Mayhew is a character building program that encourages the positive social, emotional, physical, and behavioral development of at-risk New Hampshire boys to help them become happy, successful, and contributing members of our communities. Moreover, Mayhew serves as a lifelong support community for them as they mature. Jim Nute presented a videotape of the boys recreating at Camp Mayhew on Newfound Lake. Sr. Member Carroll Stafford noted that we are invited to visit the camp during the summer. For more information go to

A Marching We Will Go
Sec.'y Kathy Calvin reminded everyone of our chance to be in the holiday parade that starts at Wyatt Park, 1p, Sunday, November 30. The motorcycle trailer will be making an appearance. Any members interested in marching should be at the park by 12:30p.
