Interclub
Chair Warren Mitchell has our interclub to Berlin scheduled for
Tuesday, July 22, with a July 29 raindate. We will need a head-count
by July 17.
Hey, Joe, Whadyaknow?
Former Pres.-Elect Joe Collie is loving his new gig at WZID in
Manchester. There's less stress now that he's "just a D.J."
with occasional commercial work. He's on the air 3p-7p, Monday-Friday
but was able to attend our meeting as he is filling in for the
morning show for the next two weeks.

Pres. Larry Murphy read a thank-you note from Rae Mello-Andrews,
RN, Clinical Education, Lakes Region General Hospital, for the
two Crash Carts for Kids that will be going into Surgical Services
and the Pediatrics Unit in Laconia.

This writer introduced Rolf Dutzmann, former Research Engineering
Manager for the Eaton Corporation, to the club. With a background
in various U.S. missile development programs from the 1960's-on
he has a keen interest in NASA and how we have benefited indirectly
from their space technology. From medicine to communications
to Tang, 30,000 NASA spin-offs have found their way into our

After our regular meeting we will reconvene with Lt. Ed Darling
at Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid/Communications Division who will
provide a PowerPoint presentation and tour of the dispatch facility.
(Turn onto the old Meredith Center Road off North Main St., take
the second left, before the prison, and park where the sign reads:
"Do Not Enter." As they are technically on the prison
campus, all vehicles or saddlebags must be locked and no contraband
((tobacco)) is allowed.) His presentation should run about half
an hour depending on questions.
