Entertainment
Digital Photographer Extraordinaire Steve Loughlin presented a slide show from hundreds of pictures he's taken over the past year. No one was left unscathed.

Installation 2001
Pres. Don Nelson called the meeting to order in the Big Room at Pheasant Ridge Country Club at 7:00p after the cocktail hour. A buffet dinner followed with Catherine and Jim Contigiani presiding--grilled chicken and prime rib were featured.

Getting the Word Out
Lt. Gov.-Elect Ken Georgevits presented this writer with a ribbon indicating we have received the Governor's Public Relations Award for 2000-2001. Special thanx to Assoc. Editors Randy Eifert and Steve Loughlin for their ongoing issuance of press releases to let everyone in the community know what we're up to.

Does this go with basic black?

Supporting the Future
Past Pres. Jim Fortier received a HOBY patch from Lt. Gov.-Elect Ken Georgevits for contributions to last year's CLEW program for high school leadership.

Isn't Hugh supposed to do this?

Division 9, Etc.
Lt. Gov.-Elect Ken Georgevits (Concord club) discussed what we as Kiwanians may expect for our "Return on Investment" as members. He observed that we are not using the resources available through International to further our goals. Any member may attend training sessions at various conventions on a variety of topics. Publicity aids such as video and audio tapes are on hand for public service announcements. He challenges all clubs to the very-modest membership goal of being up one member over the course of the coming year. In case he is called up from reserve status as a naval Lt. Commander, he has asked Past Lt. Gov. Chet Cilley to act as his deputy.

Lt. Gov.-Elect Ken Georgevits makes his points.

Thanx for the Year
Pres.-Elect Phil Bonafide showed the club's appreciation for Pres. Don Nelson's stewardship by presenting him with a bill for his president's plaque which he will receive as soon as he pays it. Now that the awesome mantle of leadership has been lifted from his unbowed shoulders, he can also enjoy the bottle of booze he received. Pres. Don Nelson echoed others' observations of the high points of our past year, crowned by the raising $35,000 with Win a Classic! This sum was raised, through no small effort, with the tremendous drive of the Nelsons and Phil Bonafide. M.C. Nancy Williams made Pres. Don Nelson's dream come true when she presented him with his very own custom-engraved Past President's pin. He then gave Pres.-Elect Phil Bonafide our club's charter to hold for the next year.

The plaque is in the mail.

Great Expectations
Acting Pres. Phil Bonafide plans on having the club focus in the coming year on fundraising, membership and publicity. Though the motorcycle raffle will be our major revenue generator for the year, he urges the committee to come up with new projects even if they only break even. We still derive the benefit of exposure. He "want(s) to make money and spend money." He would also like us to make as much public relations hay as possible with our upcoming 75th Anniversary--our club being chartered May 9, 1927.

Outlining future history

Goodnight, Irene
M.C. Nancy Williams presented We Pray for the Children and played a Barry Manilow medley of patriotic songs in recognition of fellow citizens, living and past, affected by the events of September 11.

The Party Continues
Our digital workhorse, W.S. Loughlin, turned in 90 photos from Installation 2001. If your mug didn't make it on the page yet, stay tuned. More pix will be coming out in the next few issues. And now that Randy Eifert has his very own digital camera, we will get to see some pictures of Steve.

Committees, Etc.
Pres. Phil Bonafide has finalized committee assignments which roughly follow last year's. This, along with other membership info, will be added to the
