Guest Speaker
This writer introduced former member and owner of Audiology Specialists, LLC, Dr. Laura O. Robinson, Au.D. to the club. Her office now offers examinations for balance disorders. We get our cues for proper balance not only from parts of the ears, but from vision and tactile feedback. Our ability to balance may be affected by many medical factors including aging. She points that episodic vertigo may be treated with exercises and/or medication. Former member Kathy Thompson was the subject of Robertson's demonstration of the in-office balance tests she uses. For more information, go to
audiologyspecialists.com.
